Tour Conditions


Reservations & Payment
Full payment by credit card or check is due 30 days prior to departure except for Carnival or Reveillon, where full payment may be required upon confirmation.

Visas
U.S. Citizens must possess a Brazilian Tourist Visa for travel to Brazil. For Argentina, a valid U.S. passport will suffice. Requirements for citizens of other countries differ. Children of Brazilian Citizens have special passport requirements - ask consulate for specific details. Passengers are responsible for acquiring valid passports and visas.

Travel Documents
Complete travel documents will be mailed approximately three weeks prior to departure. Documents will include airline tickets, vouchers for hotel and ground services, itineraries, and the Discover Brazil Guidebook covering detailed information on the areas to be visited.

Baggage
One carry-on handbag and two pieces of luggage are allowed. No single piece of luggage may exceed 62 inches in combined length, width and depth, nor weigh over 50 pounds.

Cancellation
Land Portion: Carnival and Reveillon packages are non-refundable. Otherwise, cancellations received more than 30 days prior to departure will be charged $100.00 per passenger, plus any fees imposed by hotels and ground operators. Cancellations received within 30 days prior to departure will be charged $150 per passenger, plus any fees imposed by hotels and ground operators. Unused portions of tour are not refundable.

Air portion: Penalties apply after tickets have been issued and include penalty imposed by airline, plus a $50 return ticket fee charged by Discover Brazil Tours, Inc.

Discover Brazil Tours strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance.

Health Requirements
No immunization or health certificates are required for travel to Brazil or Argentina from the U.S. No high altitudes or rural areas are visited by these tours. Passengers should consult their physician regarding health matters.

Tour Prices & Hotel
Prices are per person unless otherwise noted. Hotel room grades are run-of-the house. Hotel rates are based on wholesale contracts, and not on hotel rack-rates, which may fluctuate.

Not Included
Airport departure taxes are not included. US and Brazilian airport departure taxes are pre-paid and are shown on airline ticket as a separate item. Brazilian airport departure taxes must be paid in cash at time of check-in at Brazilian airport. Also not included are excess baggage charges, meals other than those specified, tips to guides, drivers or bellboys, any item of a purely personal nature, and any other item not specifically mentioned as included.

Responsibility
The responsibility of Discover Brazil Tours, Inc., of Miami, Florida (hereinafter referred to as DBT), is strictly limited. DBT arranges with airlines, hotels, ground transport companies and other independent firms, as agent, to provide passengers with high quality travel services. While DBT takes great care in selecting suppliers, we do not control them and therefore cannot be responsible for their acts or omissions or those of their employees, agents or representatives. DBT will not be responsible for any act or omission, error, delay, loss, accident or injury to you or those traveling with you, caused by the neglect or default of any company or person engaged in providing services for which tickets or vouchers are issued, including the service of any hotel, restaurant, night club, or train, vessel, carriage, aircraft, motorcoach or any other conveyance. Neither will DBT be responsible for the expense, inconvenience or injury caused by conditions beyond its control including, but not limited to, hotel or airline overbooking, late arrival or departure of conveyance, delays, strikes, defects in vehicles, breakdown in equipment, accidents, sickness, weather conditions, theft, changes in itinerary or schedules, or passenger's failure to obtain required documentation. The right is reserved to withdraw any or all tours or to vary itineraries and substitute components of tour programs should conditions warrant; also to decline to accept or retain any passenger as a member of the tour. The payment of the required deposit or partial or full payment for a reservation on a tour constitutes consent to all provisions of the conditions and general information contained herein.
